14th February’2015 Always a special day for me.. Even before Cooking became my passion I was enthralled by this day in school but never understood the concept. I knwew we can impress Girls on this day.. give them a Rose (White) for Friendship…To Beginning . To this day when Valentines DAY celeberated minus my wife cause Mayank my son has exams next day, Mom In Law tobe cared, Involves a complete day tour So Wife decides to skip it and I plug along with Chinmay Diwekar owner and adventurer of Nature Trails(www.naturetrails.in) Dabhosa Amidst jawhar hills this tranquil setting of 12 month waterfall is just too good to be true. best just after monsoons february is not a bad month to visit though as the breeze keeps off the blazing Sun during peak noon hours. We had 4 couples from Thane, Pune, Silvassa. The Pantry was well set. We had local gavthi Chicken, basa Fish(Frozen) , paneer, Potatoes, Capsicums, Kokum syrup, veggies for the salad , beer and we were all set for the Recipe of fun. The bbq was set and as we started by to get our pre prep done we didnt realise when our dishes got ready. The Men did the cooking , Spouses went rappeling, Kayaking..With chilled beers in hand, Cold spring water. Carte du Jour was: Grilled Basa with salt, pepper, lemonjuice, chili flakes, Lea and Perrins Grilled Chicken: oil, ginger garlic paste, chopped onions, chili powder, jeera powder, salt, chopped coriander kokum colada: Kokum syrup, Apple juice, Soda, laced with coconut cream Cole slaw; Cabbage, capsicum, carrots, spring onions, mayo, chili flakes Chargrilled paneer marinnation same as chicken but with chopped springonion Potatoes: garlic , schezwan sauce, chopped onion greens, chopped ginger, salt, pepper, Cheese garlic toasts grilled over charcoal. The scene was set. inspite of we getting roasted in the sun it was not at all fatigued but the Tan, Water and breeze with some good company helped spend a wonderful day yet another year 14th feb’15 gone By.
